Offseason improve: Undrafted agents that are free rookie course to 30
JACKSONVILLE – The roster continues to simply take form.
The Jaguars on Monday announced that they had consented to terms with 18 undrafted collegiate free agents, which along side 12 choices in this previous week-end’s 2020 NFL Draft means 30 rookies are now actually in the group’s offseason roster.
On the list of agents that are free
San Diego State cornerback Luq Barcoo, Miami (Ohio) protective lineman Doug Costin, North Dakota State tight end Ben Ellefson, sc operating back Tavian Feaster, Georgia security J.R. Reed and Illinois State operating straight straight back James Robinson.
All had been invited into the NFL Scouting Combine, and/or were projected by some analysts as possible 3 selections day.
The jaguars released kicker Jon Brown, linebacker Austin Calitro, offensive lineman Donnell Greene, wide receiver Charone Peake and wide receiver/cornerback Jayson Stanley to make room on the roster. The Jaguars’ general offseason roster now stands at 90.
A capsule look at the Jaguars’ 18 undrafted free agents:
*Luq Barcoo (6-feet-1, 175 pounds), cornerback, San Diego State. He started their profession at Grossmont (Calif. ) University before moving to SDSU and growing being an All-America as a senior. He played 24 games in two periods at SDSU with 13 starts – along with begins to arrive 2019. He registered 55 tackles, 0.5 sack and 10 interceptions with 30 passes defensed in 2 periods at SDSU – including 43 tackles, 0.5 sack and nine interceptions with 16 passes defensed in 2019. Their 2019 collegiate honors included: Thorpe Award semifinalist fond of country’s defensive that is best back, Walter Camp second-team All-America, FWAA second-team All-America, Phil Steele second-team All-America, Associated Press third-team All-America, Pro Football Focus honorable-mention All-America and first-team All-Mountain western.
